The State of Independence Today:- A Short Poem

Independence we achieved, was the hallmark of our struggle to freedom

Lives were lost many, in this long walk to freedom,

But the moment was solemn, when member sat in the assembly,

when, in sublime words of our leader, India made a tryst with destiny,

70 yrs long, we have walked from our freedom,

But the State of Nation today find itself in such a boredom,

Were lives are priceless, due to rising population,

Were crying voices are common, as it bring relief to the Nation,

Were the responsibility of  the State, lie in a miserable state,

Were communal thinking, fills us, with a deep religious hate,

Were religion finds its place above one's nationality,

A question is raised, how we would cherish the idea of brotherhood and fraternity,

Though come in life of a nation, such sorrow and miserable days,

Were injustice find its place and thorns in the ways,

But the Nation has to move, so to achieve its people's well,

So to become a noble mansion, were all her children may peacefully dwell,

But rethinking today, the destiny of India's way,

Hope!, We lead the way & celebrate our Independence day
